I have to admit I expected the worst from this trip. What I got was the exact opposite. Every moment I spent in NC, whether w/mom and dad or at Lisa's, was worth every effort and time well spent.
Having Liz send me that pic of you and grandma smiling and hugging so lovingly really made my weekend just that much better. I'm happy you had a good trip and got home safely!
Even though it was a short visit, Edi and Alex
really made mom's week. The rum cake was yummy
and but a sweet memory by Sunday night! I was
under the weather last wkd and worse now,
but hopefully next time I can be a better hostess( Thanksgiving or Christmas?)
